What data do we process and for what purposes?
1. Management of clients and users of the Parlam platform- Purpose: Management of user accounts, provision of contracted services, and corresponding billing.
- Data processed: Name, surname, email address, and password. Company data is also requested, including company name and the country and region in which it is located.
- Source: Data provided directly by the account holder or an authorized administrator.
- Legal basis: Performance of the service contract.
- Retention period: Data will be kept as long as the account remains active. Upon cancellation by the account holder, the information will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
- Rights exercise: Exercisable by the account holder or an authorized administrator.
- Purpose: To enable clients to upload, manage, and process the documents and content they submit to the platform for translation and related linguistic services.
- Data processed: The documents, files, and text submitted by the client, which may contain personal data whose nature and scope is determined solely by the client. Parlam processes this content exclusively to provide the contracted translation service.
- Source: Data provided by the account holder or an authorized person through the platform.
- Legal basis: Performance of the service contract between Parlam and its client.
- Responsibility for content: Where Parlam processes personal data on behalf of its clients, Parlam acts as a data processor and the client acts as the data controller. The client is solely responsible for ensuring that it has the appropriate legal basis, permissions, and rights to submit such data and materials for processing. Parlam does not review, verify, monitor, or assume responsibility for the accuracy, legality, ownership, integrity, or content of the documents, files, translations, or other materials submitted by clients.
- Retention period: While the account remains active. Upon cancellation, data will be deleted after 30 days.
- Rights exercise: Through the account holder or an authorized administrator.
3. Information requests (contact form)
- Purpose: To handle and manage requests or inquiries made via the website contact form.
- Data processed: Name and email address.
- Source: Data provided directly by the interested person.
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest to properly address the request.
- Retention period: For the time necessary to manage and respond to the inquiry.

4. Sending newsletters
- Purpose: Sending informative communications about Parlam services, products, and news.
- Data processed: Email address.
- Source: Provided directly by the interested person.
- Legal basis: Explicit consent of the data subject.
- Retention period: Until consent is explicitly revoked.

Accuracy of the data provided
The user is obliged to provide real and truthful information and is solely responsible for any damages or losses caused to Parlam or to third parties as a result of any falseness, inaccuracy, or lack of authenticity in the data provided. The user can access and modify the data in their account at any time through the "edit profile" option.
Irrelevant or third-party data
Parlam Software warns users that, except where a legally constituted representation exists, no user may use another person's identity or disclose their personal data. Users must at all times ensure that they only provide personal data corresponding to their own identity, and that such data is adequate, relevant, current, accurate, and truthful.
Publication of photos or videos on the website or social networks
Before publishing photographs or videos of our employees, clients, users, or minors on the website or social networks, as well as before collecting data to run a contest or processing any other personal data, we obtain the prior, explicit, unambiguous, and informed consent of the data subject. In the case of minors under 14 years of age, this consent is given by their parents or legal guardians.
The processing of these photos complies with the principle of proportionality; that is, they are processed strictly for the purpose for which consent was given.

Parlam Software, S.L. has implemented the necessary technical and organizational measures to guarantee the security of personal data, in compliance with the GDPR and the Spanish LOPDGDD. These measures include:
- Storage on secure servers operated by providers under data processing agreements.
- Encryption of information both in transit and at rest.
- Access control, authentication, and traceability.
- Regular security assessments.

The user undertakes to make diligent use of their credentials, not to make their username and password available to third parties, and to notify Parlam Software of any theft, loss, or risk of third-party access to their account.
